Three Ps and your one thing

Your passion:. What are you passionate about in a way that defines who you are? . What makes you feel as if your hair is on fire( besides a fire)?. What unique skill or talents do you have that you love to use and that makes you feel different? . If you won the lottery today, what would you do differently?
Your principles: . What is it that you truly value in your life? . How can you move towards those things you truly value and away from the things you don’t value as much? . What do these values say about what you are passionate about?. Do these values point to an overarching purpose in life? . Can you make a habit of the big, positive values so they become part of your character and then your destiny?
Your one thing and purpose:. What have you been conditioned to think you are supposed to do with your life? . What do you think you are really supposed to do with your life.. Is there a tiny voice of doubt deep within you suggesting you are on the wrong track?. Is that same voice nudging you forward with the sensation that you are on the right track?. What one thing do you think you are here for? What one thing would you focus on if you had nothing holding you back? . What would you do differently if you knew you had one year to live?

  1. what am I passionate about and how can I do more of that?
  2. What do I value, and how can I develop these principles so they define my character fir the rest of my life?
  3. What is my purpose? Who am I and what am I here for? What is the one thing I am supposed to accomplish in my life, what does that mean for me right now? That is, what is today’s one thing connected to my big one thing?
  4. How do I take my one thing and activate it in the world?

If you know me, you’ll know that I love hiking. Hiking isn’t just about walking in the woods. It’s very spiritual and it takes your mind off the troubles of the world, while giving you an appreciation for the little things in the world. As you trek through nature you’ll see so many beautiful creations….and If you take the time to explore under the rocks, you might notice a butterfly or a snake under that rock. Conversations are just like that butterfly or that snake under that rock. You won’t know how beautiful things could be if you don’t lift that rock off of you…. if a snake is reviled, it’s not meant to be anyway. All the butterflies that you see on top of rocks, are successful conversations that has overcome adversity. You could be missing out on something beautiful if you don’t remove the rock that’s weighing you down.

“How to cool off and energize the body during hikes”

The next time you’re on a long hike and you’re “sweating like a whore at church” Go for the polar bear plunge. Don’t take off your clothes off, just jump in with everything on….of course take your shoes and socks off.
In extreme temperatures wet clothes helps draw heat from your body, which produces a cooling effect to your skin, helping to lower your body temperature. This will also give you more energy for the remainder of your trek.

“How to get rid of brain fog“

There are many reasons why a people might scream, they’re angry, scared, in pain, about to attempt a big lift, or in a metalBand. Some people think it’s bad for you, but it’s actually good to scream. Screaming releases a lot of endorphins and other hormones and neurotransmitters, like serotonin. This relieves stress, nervous energy and brain fog, etc. Also try shaking, cussing and jumping up and down. Be sure to do this when no one is around or just put your head into a pillow. Think about It… what do, wild animals, gladiators, and kids all have common. They scream……The next time you’re about to give a speech, have brain fog, nervous energy or getting ready to attempt a big lift, try screaming!!!!!!

“What’s your purpose”

Living with a purpose is the only way to really live. Everything else is just Existing. Most people struggle with three basic issues in life.

•The first is identity: “Who am I ?”

•The second is importance: “Do I matter?”

•The third is impact: “What is my place in life?”

Once you find your purpose in life, all three of these issues will be as clear as a telescope with the perfect focus. Without a clear purpose, your vision for life will be blurry and you’ll walk aimless towards a path of nothingness. You’ll keep changing direction with your job, Workouts, diets, relationships, or other externals- hoping each change will settle the confusion or fill the emptiness in your heart, you think, maybe this time it will be different, but it doesn’t solve the real problem- a lack of focus and purpose. Purpose always produces passion. Nothing energizes like a clear purpose. Just getting out of bed becomes a major chore.
The way to find your purpose, is to find out what drives you. Drive is defined as “ to guide, to control, or to direct. Whether you’re driving a car, driving a nail or a golf ball, you are guiding, controlling, and directing it in that movement. Right now you might be driven by a problem or the thought of being a failure, or a deadline or a painful memory. Use that driving force to find your purpose. They are put in front of us to make us stronger, not to weaken our soul.

How to make the best green drink.

It’s hard for me to get my daily amount of greens, so I supplement, not substitute with green drinks. I’ve always had a pretty sensitive stomach growing up and I’m very picky with the type of vegetables that I eat. I typically only eat vegetables and foods that doesn’t cause bloat. I also add isopure protein to my green drinks, but that’s optional. Click the link below to purchase that amazing Vitamix Blender that I was using in my video. Get some Green in your life. It’s a game changer.

My All time favorite hiking Gear.

“One day you look good and the next day you don’t “

During these low moments, people always get caught up on wanting to look like someone else and wonder……why do I even bother, I work my ass off and I still don’t look like him/her? It’s not fair, I should just quit. Suck it up buttercups, stop having a pity party. Here are the 10 reasons why you don’t look like them. Not to downplay your hard work, but you’re definitely not them.

  1. You’re not them
  2. Nutrition/water
  3. Amount of stress in your life
  4. Supplements
  5. Age/weight
  6. Dedication and grit
  7. Confidence
  8. Genetics
  9. Sleep
  10. Number of years that you have truly committed to your goals.

You can take two people and give them the same program and the same diet, but they’re both going to get different results. Everyone has different genetics and this plays a big role in your all questions. Be happy with where you are and where you’ve came from. You might have to work harder than the person with better genetics, but you got to be ok with that. It’s only one of you, embrace your own unique self.

How to increase your deadlift.

There is more to a deadlift than just picking it up and putting it down, this goes for any lift. If it was that easy we all would be superhero’s.
It starts with mental toughness, determination, sleep and proper diet. Just before a big lift I like to mediate. I’ll close my eyes and pretend that I’m being dropped into enemy grounds, and my life depends on this lift. This is my number mission, If i don’t get it, I will die.
When open my eyes, I turn my mind on like a light switch and I’m ready for war. I visualize the lift, I feel the lift, I see that bar Moving with massive force and speed.
We all have superhuman strength which is called “fight or flight mode“. This hard to tap into if we don’t have true grit and mental toughness.

The next few steps are very Crucial and it takes strategic planning. You must terminate with extreme prejudice.

  • breathing and bracing: helps you to stay tight and create more force, speed and balance. (Watch breathing and bracing on YouTube ) This is one of the most important rules to follow. Blow out the candle.
  • Having a strong upper back: help you to keep a neutral spin and help with lock outs. Row,Row Row, Row !
  • Posterior chain and glutes: hip hinge movements.. supports the core and helps with lockout. Pull throughs, good mornings, RDL, kettle bell swings, dimel deads, hip thrusters, still leg deadlifts, etc.
  • Hamstrings: helps with the bottom half of deadlift, off the ground. Strong hamstrings also prevents twerking. Twerking= A weak ass and hamstring. This Will help you push yourself away from the bar instead of pulling. Legs curls, sled pull, GHD and all the Posterior chain exercises. Etc
  • Abs. Helps keep the back tight
  • Traps: lockout: farmers carry, face pulls, cleans and any other carrying event.
  • In short…..row your ass off, build up your glutes, hamstring, posterior chain and core. Work these movements at least twice a week.
  • Get ready, because you’re about to pull a pr.

Your holy grail is only a few steps away.

I’ve never been the one to care for endless hours of cardio, but I do enjoy challenging my body with different forms of exercise. Outside of strength training/strongman I find pleasure in going for a bike rides through the mountains and conquering the highest mountain, while picking up huge logs and stones along the way.
Just like any other goal that you set for yourself, it’s always a good thought until you actually start doing it and you later find out, this shit is harder than i thought. At least my clients call it shit anyway. We’ll save that debate for a later date.
So you set out for your holy grail and your heart rate starts to elevate, you instantly question yourself, why in the hell am I doing this. We’ve all had these thoughts before and you want to quit or turn back.
After having several self talks with yourself, you decide to keep going, when suddenly you have that break through and you can see your goals right before your eyes. Your heart rate starts to raise again, but this time it’s from the satisfaction and excitement.
Just think if you would’ve turned back, you wouldn’t be reaping the benefits from all the hard work you put in.
Sometimes your goals are only a few steps away. keep Trekking my friends!!!!
